Stop eating chips and heavily processed crackers that sabotage your health goals. These easy flax seed crackers give you crisp, sturdy, deeply flavorful crackers with just a handful of wholesome ingredients. No flour, no fillers, no nonsense. Just a clean, satisfying crunch you’ll actually crave.
In a large bowl, mix the flax seeds, chia seeds, salt and optionals (if using). Add the water and stir to combine. At first, the mixture will look runny, but as you stir it will start to thicken.👉 Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C), fan.
Line a baking sheet with a large piece of parchment paper and brush well with half of the olive oil. Spread the mixture evenly (as thinly as possible) over the lined baking sheet, using a rubber spatula.👉 The mixture shouldn't stick on the rubber spatula. If it sticks, grease the spatula with oil.
For the best results, cover the mixture with a second piece of parchment paper and roll with a rolling pin.👉 This way you get very thin, even crackers.👉 Optionally, use a pizza cutter to score the mixture into cracker shapes.
Brush the surface with the remaining olive oil and bake in the oven for 50-55 minutes until dried out and crisp.
Transfer to a wire rack, remove the parchment paper and allow the crackers to cool completely. Once cool, break into pieces and eat.

Notes
Note #1: You can use eirher whole flaxseeds, ground or a mix. I use half and half. Half cup of whole flax seeds is 80 g and half cup of ground flax seeds is 60 grams.👉 Want clean, even shapes?Right before baking, score the "dough" with a pizza cutter into squares or triangles. Once baked and cooled, the crackers will snap cleanly along those lines.✏️ Why bake at a lower temperature?Whenever I roast nuts and seeds in the oven I prefer using a lower temperature because lower heat helps the seeds dry out evenly without burning. The result? Crisp, golden crackers with no bitterness, just clean, nutty flavor.✅ Tips for Consumption: Always drink plenty of water when consuming flaxseed
